This week's EDU 210 class revolved around Professional Learning Networks or PLNs. Although I have been using Pinterest for quite some time now (there are great ideas on there for elementary students!), I was excited to expand my PLN to include Twitter. I hope that I will be able to benefit from twitter in the same wonderful way that I have from Pinterest. To the left is a screen shot of my twitter account as well as my twitter feed. I am constantly looking for new ways to teach concepts to students and I think that the more encompassing my PLN is, the more I will expand and grow pedagogically as well as personally. Through social media, teachers are now able to connect with a multitude of educators from every location on the globe and our lesson plans and activities will reflect the diversity of our PLN. Our teaching can only benefit from including social media into our professional lives -- Let the growth begin!
